Book Club // The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins

Author - Paula Hawkins
Title - The Girl On The Train

“When did you become so weak?” I don’t know. I don’t know where that strength went, I don’t remember losing it. I think that over time it got chipped away, bit by bit, by life, by the living of it.”

I'm pretty sure everyone and their mum has read this book but for good reason. From the moment I picked this up, I couldn't stop reading it.

The Girl on the train follows a women called Rachel who commutes on the same train every morning. The train happens to stop at the same signal every day,  and she starts to feel like she even knows the people who live in one of the houses. Until one day the girl she called 'Jess' goes missing.

Paula did an amazing job to keep readers engaged with her twists and turns. Although I didn't connect with any of the characters, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's not something I would normally read but after reading other reviews and seeing the trailer I picked it up in Tesco for £3, it also has some lovely red edge painting.

The film will be released later on this year.

Thank you so much for reading.
